Breckenridge Snow Update 11-13

We are still waiting to see when Breckenridge Ski Area will open for the 2016 season. They were suppose to open on November 11th but had to delay there opening day. We have had very warms temperatures throughout Colorado recently, which has made snowmaking very difficult this year.

Today we took a drive down to Peak 9 at Breckenridge Ski Area to see how the resort is looking. Some very light snow flurries fell today check this quick Instagram video we put together below. We have seen mostly sunny skies though today and are keeping our fingers crossed that the storm on Thursday they are calling for to hit us.

We will keep you posted when we know when Breckenridge Ski Area will be opening this winter. Our City2Snow team will be living in Breck now and in Denver still, so we are soooooooooooooo stoked to drop media coverage for the mountains #C2SFAM this year.

Arapahoe Basin Snow Report 11-12

Another day of taking hot laps at Arapahoe Basin Ski & Snowboard area! It was sunny and warm on the mountain. We have not had snow for sometime now, so early season conditions exist on the mountain still. The Black Mountain Express is the only lift running but we saw that they opened the Ramrod run. After skiing we watched the sunset down by lake Dillon.

It looks like we are waiting to see when the snow will fly again. Breckenridge Ski Resort and Keystone Resort have had to delay there opening days this year which is a bummer. Do a snow dance #C2SFAM :)

Check this photo and the quick Instagram vid we took from on the snow at Abasin!!

Welcome to another season of City2Snow media coverage. We are so stoked for a huge winter! The ski season all started today 10/21 at Arapahoe Basin Ski & Snowboard Area. Abasin was the first resort to open in Colorado this year, congratulations!!

It was a warm and sunny day at Abasin for the first day of the season. We brought the C2S tent and posted up right on the beach. The bottom of the mountain is open only, with the Black Mountain Express lift running. They had the the groomed, intermediate High Noon run open.

Opening day for us at C2S is always special. People are pumped to get out there and cut some turns after a long summer!! We had such a good time :) Stay tuned for all the latest on the snow conditions this winter via C2S.

Baldy Mountain Breckenridge Trip Report

Want to see stunning views that overlook Breckenridge, Colorado from a shoulder on a 13,690ft mountain? Then check our fall recap of Breckenridge, to watch sunrise views and see the changing leaves! Let's Go #C2SFAM we love Breck and want as many of you as possible to make a one-day trip to see the epic mountain visuals.

Bald Mountain aka Mount Baldy overlooks the base of town and is inside the Arapahoe National Forest. You will gain a few thousands feet by traveling up the dirt road to the top of the peak and even pass by one of the largest gold mining sites in the United States. If you are adventurous and down to make it across a few bumps the views from the top are worth the extra effort. We drove up later in the evening, and car camped to watch the sunrise. The vastness of the views was incredible, and the sky visuals were straight fire for a few moments early in the am.
